Welcome to the official page for the 7th Annual Clam Bake to Save the Clams (and other body parts that can get cancer)! This year, due to growing demand and fundraising, the event will take place at Platform Columbus (408 N 6th St) on Saturday, July 21 at 2pm - a $25 or higher donation will get you access to our all-you-can-eat clam bake, which includes a bonus gift from the host.
My Story in a Nutshell:
In May 2013, doctors diagnosed me with stage 3 testicular cancer. I knew right then and there that we would do anything necessary to defeat it, and that it would not end me - because there's just too much left to do at age 24. Thanks to the support of my close friends, family, co-workers, and medical staffs with both The OSU Wexner Medical Center and IU Health, I am in remission... after three surgeries, numerous chemotherapy rounds, and two stem cell transplants. I am happy to have my hair back and proud to be a fully functional male specimen, five years cancer-free.
This experience will always be a part of me and I wish to help those in need, as I received assistance when it mattered most. This year, all funds donated will go directly to the Cancer Strategic Support Fund. This fund supports The James/Solove CHRI for strategic initiatives or research as directed by CEO and the Senior Executive Director of The James.
